Where in the world have I been?

NB: This entry has been CORRECTED, thanks to a timely reminder from my friend Wendy!

Map_world Inspired by tales of people who’ve been everywhere,
who collect countries, even if they just zip off an airplane and touch
the ground before zipping back to their full upright and locked
positions, I decided to make a list of all the places I’ve been. But
where to keep this scrap of paper so I can always find it? Why, on this
blog, of course! Herewith, my list, by region. Some you will consider on
the verge of cheating, but I give them to you as The Traveler’s Century
Club lets you have them!

Hawaiian Islands

Mexico

Canada

United States (continental)

Ecuador

Austria

Balearic Islands (Mallorca)

Czech Federated Republic

Denmark

England

Netherlands (but only to the Amsterdam airport!)

Russia

Finland

France

Germany

Hungary

Ireland (Eire)

Italy

Scotland

Spain

Vatican City

Wales

Gabon

India

Coming up later in 2005 and 2006:

Croatia

Slovenia

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Serbia

Macedonia (hmmm, this one isn’t on The List; must be a political problem!)

Ghana

Tanzania

MOROCCO (with Wendy, who’s already scoped out the place and found the
most fabulous hotels. Furthermore, we need more of those great beaded
SHOES!)

A good start, I think, but I’ve got a long way to go!
